About Us

Asset Management Society, India is a membership-based, not-for-profit organization with the aims to carry out activities that enhance the advancement of asset management and maintenance for professionals and organisations and to lead good practice for effective community and infrastructure asset management for public and industry good. AMSI provides information and professional assistance and advice on asset management across a variety of industries and professional responsibilities. Our professional services, technical knowledge, and organisational experience act as a platform for professional development and industry recognition, and our international affiliations link our stakeholders to a community whose knowledge and experience is drawn from all levels of practice.

AMSI is recognized internationally and already have in place an affiliate agreement with AMC, Australia which is a membership-based, not-for-profit organisation, a Technical Society of Engineers Australia, a founding member of the Global Forum on Maintenance and Asset Management (GFMAM) and a founding member of the World Partners in Asset Management (WPiAM). As an internationally recognised organisation at the forefront of asset management knowledge and development, AMCouncil provide information and guidance on asset management across a multitude of industries and professional roles, both in Australia and overseas. The Agreement is designed to provide a framework within which AMSI and AMCouncil can share and work co-operatively for the benefit of its respective members in relation to the advancement of the knowledge, skills and educational offerings in the asset management sector.

Objectives of the society:

The objective of the Society is to carry out the following activities as a not for profit entity:
  • To sustain and enrich the maintenance engineering and asset management skills of asset management practitioners and organizations;
  • To support, develop and encourage excellence in the practice of maintenance engineering and asset management;
  • To encourage practitioners’ involvement in and contribution to activities of the Society including life-long learning and continual professional development of members;
  • To enable linkages at national and international levels for asset management practitioners, researchers, young professionals and communities of practice;
  • Facilitate active participation from related professions and disciplines;
  • To motivate and inspire research and strengthen the body of knowledge in maintenance engineering and asset management;
  • To be involved and contribute to the policy setting in asset management knowledge and practices at national and international levels;
  • To support the community and encourage members to be socially responsible.
  • To be involved and contribute through its members and associates in R&D and Demonstration activities with industries
  • To disseminate maintenance and asset management knowledge and skills among maintenance and asset management professionals and practitioners, and share information and experiences to learn and benefit from each other.
